Women: The United
Nations agreed to the formation of a new institution named “UN Women” on 2nd
July 2010. The main objective will be the sexual/gender equality and women empowerment.
The fifty-ninth session of the Commission on the status of Women took place at
United Nations Headquarters in New York from 9 to 20 March 2015.
Representatives of Member States , UN entities, and ECOSOC-accredited non-governmental
organizations (NGOs) from all regions of the world attended the session. The
main focus of the session was on the Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action, including
current challenges that affect its implementation and the achievement of gender
equality and the empowerment of women. The sixtieth session of the Commission
on the Status of Women will take place at the United Nations Headquarters in
New York from 14 to 24 March 2016.

संयुक्त राष्ट्र महिलाएँ
ReplyDeleteसंयुक्त राष्ट्र 2 जुलाई 2010 को ‘’यूएन महिलाएँ’’ नाम से एक नया संस्थान गठित करने के लिए सहमत हुआ था। इसका मुख्य उद्देश्य यौन/लैंगिक समानता और महिला सशक्तीकरण होगा। महिलाओं की स्थिति पर आयोग का उनसठवां अधिवेशन 9 से 20 मार्च 2015 तक न्यूयार्क में संयुक्त राष्ट्र मुख्यालय में आयोजित किया गया था। सदस्य देशों, यूएन संस्थाओं और विश्व के सभी क्षेत्रों से इकोसो-प्रमाणित गैर-सरकारी संगठनों (एनजीओ) के प्रतिनिधियों ने इस अधिवेशन में भाग लिया था। इस अधिवेशन का मुख्य मुद्दा बीजिंग घोषणापत्र और कार्रवाई मंच था जिसमें मौजूदा चुनौतियाँ शामिल हैं जो इसके कार्यान्वयन को प्रभावित करती हैं और लैंगिक समानता की उपलब्धि तथा महिलाओं का सशक्तीकरण था। महिलाओं की स्थिति पर आयोग का साठवाँ अधिवेशन 14 से 24 मार्च 2016 तक न्यूयार्क में संयुक्त राष्ट्र मुख्यालय में किया जाएगा।
