Internet.org
Social networking services company Facebook
along with Samsung, Ericsson, MediaTek, Opera Software, Nokia and Qualcomm have
moved into a partnership which is named as Internet.org. This coming together
of companies is to attain the objective of bringing affordable access to
selected services of Internet in countries.
Internet.org was launched in
August 20, 2013 by Mark Zukerberg to improve internet access for people across
the world. In May 2015, it was announced that Internet.org users would be able
to use third-party apps soon. The platform would be made available to all
developers to have their apps on the portal subject to fulfilling the technical
criteria like websites requiring high-bandwidth will be excluded, partner
services should be optimized for smart phones and services should promote the
exploration of broader internet wherever possible. The first summit of Internet.org was held in New Delhi, India on October 9, 2014.
Internet.org has launched its Free Basics Android application to offer free web
services to its users.

ReplyDelete1. सभी नागरिकों को इंटरनेट संपर्क उपलब्ध करवाते हुए 2,50,000 ग्राम पंचायतों को जोड़ने के लिए नेशनल ऑप्टिकल फाइबर नेटवर्क (एन.ओ.एफ.एन.)।
2. ग्राम स्तर पर उच्च-गति इंटरनेट, प्रमुख सरकारी सेवाओं जैसे स्वास्थ्य, शिक्षा, सुरक्षा, न्याय, वित्तीय समावेशन आदि की ई-उपलब्धता प्रदान करना जिससे नागरिकों का डिजिटल सशक्तीकरण होगा।
3. यूनीक आईडी, ई-प्रमाण के माध्यम से सार्वजनिक जवाबदेही सुनिश्चित करना।
4. भारी संख्या में नौकरियां सृजित करना।
5. मोबाइल फोन के माध्यम से डिजिटल उपयोग को बढ़ावा देना।
6. व्यक्तियों की जन्म से ही डिजिटल पहचान बनाए रखी जाएगी।
7. सरकारी सेवाएं मोबाइल फोन अथवा इंटरनेट के माध्यम से प्राप्त की जा सकेंगी।
8. सार्वभौमिक डिजिटल साक्षरता को बढ़ावा देना और सभी डिजिटल संसाधनों को सार्वभौमिक रूप से लोगों तक पहुंचाना।

(क) Internet.org
सोशल नेटवर्किंग सेवाएं प्रदान करने वाली कंपनी फेसबुक ने सेमसंग, एरिक्सन, मीडियाटेक, ओपेरा, साफ्टवेयर, नोकिया और क्येलकॉम के साथ साझेदारी की है जिसका नाम Internet.org रखा गया है। कंपनियों के एक साथ आने का उद्देश्य गांवों में इंटरनेट की चुनिंदा सेवाओं तक किफ़ायती पहुंच बनाना है।
मार्क जुकरबर्ग ने विश्वभर में लोगों के लिए इंटरनेट की पहुँच में सुधार करने के लिए 20 अगस्त 2013 को Internet.org की शुरूआत की थी। मई, 2015 में यह घोषित किया गया था कि Internet.org उपयोक्ता शीघ्र ही अन्य पार्टी के एप्स का उपयोग कर पाएंगे। सभी विकासकर्ताओं को पोर्टल पर उनके एप्स रखने के लिए प्लेटफार्म उपलब्ध करवाया जाएगा जिसके लिए उन्हें तकनीकी मानदंड पूरे करने होंगे - जैसे उच्च-बैंडविथ की अपेक्षा वाली वेबसाइटों को अलग रखा जाएगा, स्मार्ट फोन के लिए साझेदारी सेवाओं को अनुकूलतम बनाना होगा और जहां कहीं संभव होगा सेवाएं व्यापक इंटरनेट की खोज को बढ़ावा देना होगा। Internet.org का पहला शिखर सम्मेलन 9 अक्तूबर 2014 को नई दिल्ली, भारत में आयोजित किया गया था। Internet.org ने अपने उपयोक्ताओं को नि:शुल्क वेब सेवाएं ऑफर करने के लिए अपने ‘फ्री बेसिक्स एंड्रायड’ एप्लीकेशन की शुरूआत की थी।
