Prime Minister
Shri Narendra Modi addressed the nation today. Recalling those who have died
battling the pandemic, Prime Minister said that the crisis that has emerged due
to COVID-19 is unprecedented, but in this battle, we not only need to protect
ourselves but also have to keep moving forward.
Self-reliant
India
Talking about
the pre and post COVID worlds, Prime Minister observed that in order to fulfill
the dream of making the 21st century India’s, the way forward is through
ensuring that the country becomes self-reliant. Talking about turning a crisis
into an opportunity, he gave the example of PPE kits N-95 masks, whose
production in India has gone up from almost being negligible to 2 lakh each, on
a daily basis.
Prime Minister
remarked that the definition of self-reliance has undergone a change in the
globalized world and clarified that when the country talks about self-reliance,
it is different from being self-centered. He said that India’s culture
considers the world as one family, and progress in India is part of, and also
contributes to, progress in the whole world. He noted that the world
trusts that India has a lot to contribute towards the development of the entire
humanity.
Five
pillars of a self-reliant India
Recalling the
devastation in Kutch after the earthquake, Prime Minister said that through
determination and resolve, the area was back on its feet. A similar
determination is needed to make the country self-reliant.
He said that a
self-reliant India will stand on five pillars viz. Economy, which brings in
quantum jump and not incremental change; Infrastructure, which should become
the identity of India; System, based on 21st century technology driven
arrangements; Vibrant Demography, which is our source of energy for a
self-reliant India; and Demand, whereby the strength of our demand and supply
chain should be utilized to full capacity. He underlined the importance of
strengthening all stakeholders in the supply chain to increase, as well as fulfill,
the demand.

प्रधानमंत्री
श्री नरेंद्र मोदी ने आज राष्ट्र को संबोधित किया। प्रधानमंत्री ने महामारी से
लड़ते हुए अपनी जान गंवाने वाले लोगों को याद करते हुए कहा कि कोविड-19 के कारण
पैदा हुई संकट की स्थिति अभूतपूर्व स्थिति में पहुंच गई है, लेकिन इस लड़ाई में, न केवल हमें अपनी रक्षा करनी है अपितु आगे भी
बढ़ते रहना है।
आत्मनिर्भर भारत
कोविड से पहले और बाद की दुनिया के
बारे में बात करते हुए, प्रधानमंत्री ने पाया है कि 21वीं सदी के भारत के सपनों को पूरा
करने के लिए देश को आत्मनिर्भर बनाना होगा। संकट की स्थिति को अवसर में बदलने के
बारे में बात करते हुए, उन्होंने पीपीई किट, एन-95 मास्क के उदाहरण दिए जिनका भारत में उत्पादन पहले
नाममात्र होता था और अब एक दिन में 2-2 लाख किट और मास्क तैयार हो रहे हैं।
प्रधानमंत्री ने कहा कि वैश्विक
दुनिया में आत्मनिर्भरता की परिभाषा बदल गई है और स्पष्ट किया कि जब देश आत्मनिर्भरता
के बारे में बात करता है तो यह स्व-केंद्रित होने से अलग है। उन्होंने कहा कि
भारतीय संस्कृति विश्व को एक परिवार मानती है और भारत में प्रगति संपूर्ण विश्व
की प्रगति में योगदान करना भी है। यह देखा गया है कि दुनिया विश्वास करती है कि भारत
ने संपूर्ण मानवता के विकास में बहुत बड़ा योगदान दिया है।
आत्मनिर्भर भारत के पांच स्तंभ
भूकंप के बाद कच्छ में हुए विनाश को
याद करते हुए, प्रधानमंत्री ने कहा कि यह क्षेत्र
दृढ़ संकल्प और निश्चय करके वापिस अपने पैरों पर खड़ा हुआ है। देश को आत्मनिर्भर
बनाने के लिए भी इसी तरह के दृढ़ संकल्प की आवश्यकता है।
उन्होंने कहा कि आत्मनिर्भर भारत
पांच स्तंभों पर खड़ा होगा अर्थात् अर्थव्यवस्था जो बहुत बड़ा परिवर्तन लाती है
और वृद्धि संबंधी बदलाव नहीं आता है; बुनियादी ढाँचा जो भारत की पहचान बनेगा; प्रणाली जोकि 21वीं सदी की प्रौद्योगिकी-चालित
व्यवस्थाओं पर आधारित होगी; जोशीली जनसंख्या जो आत्मनिर्भर भारत के लिए ऊर्जा का हमारा स्रोत
है; और माँग जिसके द्वारा
हमारी माँग और आपूर्ति चेन की ताक़त का पूरी क्षमता से उपयोग किया जा सके। उन्होंने
माँग में वृद्धि और इसे पूरा करने के लिए आपूर्ति चेन में सभी हितधारकों को मज़बूत
बनाने के महत्व को रेखांकित किया था।
