Adaptation means
anticipating the adverse effects of climate change and taking appropriate
action to prevent or minimize the damage they can cause, or taking advantage of
opportunities that may arise. It is well documented that well planned, early
adaptation action saves money and lives later. Adaptation is the principal way
to deal with the impacts of a changing climate. It involves taking practical
actions to manage risks from climate impacts, protect communities and
strengthen the resilience of the economy. Adapting to climate
change is the top priority today. The irreversible damage caused through
climate change is a global concern. The government and people need to work
together to come up with a more sustainable solution for adapting to climate
change.
