Translation (English-Hindi) Exercise – 70

We all want to succeed in life because success brings us wealth, power and fame in the world. Successful people are widely respected and are honoured by people for their achievements. It is, therefore, no wonder that a large number of people aspire to achieve success in their lives. For example, almost five lakh brilliant young people seek to become India's top civil servants by writing the Civil Services Examination in India. The civil services in India provide people with the best way to serve the country and give them power, perks, and prestige. However, it is also a fact that less than a thousand candidates eventually succeed in their endeavour and more than 99% of the candidates fail to realize their dream. We achieve success in this competitive world only if we perform better than others in our chosen field in life. To perform better, we must have superior knowledge, skill and abilities. Unfortunately, most of us want success but are not willing to work hard to improve ourselves to become truly worthy of success. We often don't recognize our weaknesses and, hence, continue to commit the same mistakes repeatedly. It is, thus, not surprising that most people fail to achieve the desired success in their lives. We can't achieve success in life unless we become worthy of it. However, we cannot improve ourselves unless we identify our weaknesses and overcome them. Unfortunately, most people prefer to see good things in themselves and bad things in others. When we see only goodness within, we feel happy and satisfied. It feels even better when we see evil within others because we immediately get a false sense of superiority. Thus, such an attitude in life makes us complacent and provides us instant gratification by doing nothing. People don't want to accept their mistakes to avoid working hard and Improving upon them. They avoid looking for goodness in others which will force them to improve themselves.  (No. of words 324)
