Union Minister of Home
Affairs and Minister of Cooperation Shri Amit Shah attended Hindi Diwas 2021
celebrations organized at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi as Chief Guest
Shri Amit Shah presented
Rajbhasha Kirti and Rajbhasha Gaurav Awards to Ministries, Departments and
Undertakings etc., which have done excellent work in the Official Language
during the years 2018-19, 2019-20 and 2020-21
There are no differences between Hindi and any local language, Hindi is friend
of all Indian languages and it can progress only through co-existence
Nation is celebrating the Amrit Mahotsav of Freedom under the leadership of
Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi to commemorate 75 years of Independence
The Prime Minister from the ramparts of the Red Fort has also set the goal of a
Self-Reliant India as one of the goals of the Amrit Mahotsav of Freedom
The phrase self-reliant should not only be seen in the context of production
and commercial institutions, the phrase self-reliant is also about languages
and only then the dream of a Self-Reliant India will be a reality
The Prime Minister speaks in Hindi even at the highest global stage, therefore
what are we hesitant about?
The Prime Minister has made it a practice to deliver his speeches in Hindi at
any platform, this has greatly contributed to establish the Official Language
14 September is a day to introspect as to what has been done for the promotion
of our languages and the Official Language
For ages to come, India will preserve its languages, and we should also make
our languages flexible and useful
Swadeshi, Swabhasha and Swaraj were the three basic pillars of the Freedom
Struggle
Mahatma Gandhi also associated the Official Language with nationalism, he had
said that if the consciousness of this country is to be understood, then you
cannot understand it without our languages
Guru Rabindranath Tagore had said that Indian culture is like a fully blossomed
lotus, each petal of which is like our regional languages and the lotus is our
official language
A foreign language cannot introduce us to the great culture and pride of India,
cannot connect with the ideological body of the country, only the Mother tongue
can keep a child connected with his or her local roots
We have to explain to our younger generation that language can never be a
hindrance, we should use our language with pride and without hesitation
There can be no better medium of expression of knowledge than the Mother tongue
The translation of the history of every state of the country should be prepared
in the Official Language and in the local languages
The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi has given importance to local languages
and the Official Language in the New Education Policy
