Pradhyapak Exam.–2019 (Paper-I) will be published on 01-08-2019, date of closing of receiving application will be 28-08-2019 and date of exam (Paper-1) will be 26-11-2019. It is mentioned that Paper-1 will be Computer Based Examination (CBE).

For the information of the candidates
The Staff Selection Commission has conducted the following two examinations in the month of January, 2019. The details are as follows:-
(i) Junior Hindi Translator, Junior Translator, Senior Hindi Translator and Hindi Pradhyapak Examination, 2018 This Examination was conducted at 146 venues in 100 cities across the country on 13.1.2019. As against 49,394 registered candidates, 15,573 (31.53%) actually appeared in the examination. The tentative date for the declaration of the result of this examination is 25th March, 2019.
(ii) Selection Post Examinations (Phase-VI) The Selection Post Examinations (Phase-VI) for three levels viz. Matriculation, Higher Secondary (10+2) and Graduation & above were conducted by the Commission from 16.1.2019 to 18.1.2019 at 99 venues in 44 cities, across the country. As against 3,56,569 registered candidates, 1,05,390 (29.56%) candidates actually appeared in these examinations. Controller of Examinations 25.01.2019

Padma Awards 2019 announced
Padma Vibhushan - 4, Padma Bhushan – 14 and Padma Shri - 94

Padma Awards - one of the highest civilian Awards of the country, are conferred in three categories, namely, Padma Vibhushan, Padma Bhushan and Padma Shri. The Awards are given in various disciplines/ fields of activities, viz.- art, social work, public affairs, science and engineering, trade and industry, medicine, literature and education, sports, civil service, etc. ‘Padma Vibhushan’ is awarded for exceptional and distinguished service; ‘Padma Bhushan’ for distinguished service of high order and ‘Padma Shri’ for distinguished service in any field. The awards are announced on the occasion of Republic Day every year.
These awards are conferred by the President of India at ceremonial functions which are held at Rashtrapati Bhawan usually around March/ April every year. This year the President of India has approved conferment of 112 Padma Awards including one duo case (in a duo case, the Award is counted as one) as per list below. The list comprises 4 Padma Vibhushan, 14 Padma Bhushan and 94 Padma Shri Awards. 21 of the awardees are women and the list also includes 11 persons from the category of Foreigners/NRI/PIO/OCI, 3 Posthumous awardees and 1 transgender person.
